As if it wasn't enough that Texas Football won the National Championship this year. Texas Basketball made it's way into the Elite Eight last night with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer that was beautiful and miraculous at the same time. It's been a couple of years since Texas Basketball made a good showing in the NCAA Tournament, but I'm thinking that maybe it could just be Texas' year! I mean, Duke and UNC are out of the tournament...
So the game on Saturday to determine who goes to the Final Four should be really interesting. Texas vs. LSU. Both Sam and I are alumni of Texas and Sam's sister is an alumnus of LSU. When asked who he would root for in the game on Saturday, Sam's dad replied..."LSU because I love Brenda more" (Cute Stewart....)
I'm looking forward to a Texas sweep to land them in the Final Four and hopefully they won't screw it up this year and will end up in the final game.

After the LSU game I called Brenda. She has such school spirit she couldn't give a rat's ass who won. She didn't even know that LSU was playing. Eran doesn't understand why kicking the ball is illegal. Any game where the cumulative score is more than 3 is silly. He even likes the NBA. So I wasn't asked the same question. Had that side of the family asked, I would have chosen Texas because I love Sam more. You, of all people, should know how I operate.
