Marie was moved into a room. She was also given a morphine drip so hopefully she'll be able to manage her pain a little bit better. Sam will be bunking at the hospital with Mommo tonight. He's exhausted and is looking forward to some sort of sleep. As of now, if her pain is manageable, she'll be discharged and sent home tomorrow.
More updates tomorrow...

my mom is a soldier. she's a freaking warrior. i am so proud of her for doing what needed to be done and taking care of herself rather than running and hiding like a little girl. i know that she didn't do it alone and she has the best friends and doctors EVER, but i just wanted to say that my mom is my hero.
also wanted to say that i miss my wife terribly. love you carlye, you kick ass and i can't wait to see you.
Sam says that mom is a trooper but he deserves bigtime kudos for putting up with all of us and especially sitting all those long boring stressful hours at the hospital.
You should ask him to post "an ode to the backwards chair" which was his bed for 2 days.
Just so you know, I wanted to make life just that much more interesting. I saw my ENT again yesterday and will be going for surgery on Dec 29. Guess what I'll be doing for New Year's - hopefully enjoying a cocktail of pain meds of my own after having my throat pulled out through my nose. Yeah!
