Updates

So apparently I've been MIA as of late. You know what they say about good intentions...

I have lots and lots of updates to share.

#1 Sam bought me a new car (we'll share payments, but it makes me feel better to say he bought it for me) - it's a blue Honda CR-V and it's awesome!!!
The Blue Bomb

#2 I had a birthday in January and turned another year older (imagine that!)
Cake by Shelly (decoration by Joe)

#3 Have I mentioned that Sam moved home on December 19th - permanently!

#4 I love my job and my job loves me (it's a nice change)

#5 Things are moving along with our house - our kitchen has been put together and we painted the guest bathroom and the guest bedroom. We even picked out our furniture and can't wait to move onto the next step.

#6 The holiday gifts are still not complete - I hope to have the last of them done by next week (since I'm hopefully getting together with one of my bestest friends!)

#7 The holiday gifts were a hit (kinda) - the boys gifts were awesome (except for Carlos' which didn't fit) and the gals gifts were nifty except that no one has used them because they all think that they're too pretty
Hats for Boys

Spa gear for girls (all handmade)

#8 I handmade a new wreath for our front door (more of my transition to Martha)

#9 I learned how to make candy (not the best thing for my diet)

#10 Sam and I have begun cooking at home lots and lots (super good for my diet)

#11 I'm addicted to farmers markets and locally grown food, etc.

#12 I'm gonna grow a garden full of fruits and veggies (unless the bunnies eat everything)

#13 I've started growing basil, oregano and parsley and can't wait to use it

#14 I've been incredibly crafty and have started creating my own things without patterns

And the coolest change:

I have a new blog for all of my crafty goodness! I've realized that I spend way too much time posting pictures of my latest crocheted creations and not enough time speaking my mind, talking about my life and providing a place for family and friends to keep track of me.

My goal is to update both of them on a more regular basis. I realize that I have a lot to say and want to get it down. Also, I'm hoping that the crochet stuff will eventually turn into a small side business to supplement my poor social worker salary.

So as you'll notice when you venture over to the new blog - it is not linked to this one. That is for personal reasons. I'm hoping that the crafty blog will be more public and this one will stay a bit more private. So basically, the only people that will know that I have both of them will be my loyal reader(s) of Gracefully Social!

Okay, for all of your reading goodness - please check out:
